October 15, 2008So... I was wondering how to go about making my V6 True dual. Will the stock exhaust off a GT bolt right up? I want to try and make it sound close to a GT. I like the deep roar. What would be the best way to go about doing this? Also what would be the best muffler to use? I was thinking about Bassani, but would like to try and spend less money.

October 16, 2008Stock GT exhaust will bolt right up, but a V6 will not sound like a V8 with a GT exhaust.
I got a GT/Cobra X-pipe and Magnapacks cat back on mine, and I like this setup much better than with Flowmasters and Mac''''s.
True duals = one pipe from each side going all the way back with no cross over pipes.
And no, going with bigger pipes will not make you loose power.
October 18, 2008I was wanting to use the stock GT pipes, but put some nice sounding mufflers on there.
October 18, 2008It''s a good and cheap way of getting better sound
May 7, 2012I have Flowmaster Super 44`s and I love the sound. Has a nice deep idle and sounds good, and I also had my rear cats removed. Everyone that`s heard it likes it and says it`s loud, but not over the top loud. Mine were welded in to the factory piping.
