You could get some pedestal mount 1.7:1 rockers from Crane - just like the ones that the ''93-''95 Cobra use. That would get you rollers plus about 6% more lift even with your stock cam and heads, and no mods.
These would also fit under your stock valvecovers.
I am not sure you could use your stock pushrods though... If so, this would be a relatively cheap upgrade.
Now, if you think about getting standard Ford ratio rollers (1.6:1) of any other type, they will be stud mount (either 5/16" *or* 3/8" stud), and you''ll have to pull off your heads, get them modified (pedestal bases milled off) for the stud mounts, get studs, pushrods, new valvecovers (*or*, you can modify ''87-''93 style covers by cutting out the baffle dividers underneath), etc. With the new valvecovers, you might need an intake spacer to get the upper intake to not hit the valvecovers.
So, the only way that makes any sense to me is the Crane 1.7:1 rollers that have pedestal mounts.
Oh, I just remembered one other option... another manufacturer makes a direct replacement ''half roller'' rocker. It''s got a roller on the tip, but not on the fulcrum. *or* maybe it''s the other way around. Anyway, those are a direct swap from the stock rockers.
