April 14, 2004well, about an hour ago i called up randy from mod depot and ordered the PI head swap kit, came out to be 1350 with tax and shipping, should be here within a week or 2, kit comes with the PI intake, complete heads, all gaskets(intake, heads, cam cover, exhaust manifolds), all orings and seals, new oil filter, new spark plugs, oil dipstick tube, coolant tubes, coolant nipples, alternator brackets, and everything else i forgot, the most complete kit you can get anywhere, anyone who wants to do this swap i highly recommend givin him a call. Now, is anyone interested in stopping by and helpin out with this swap next month?
April 14, 2004oh yeah, and hopefully this weekend ill be ordering VT stage 2 cams and comp cam springs to throw in there, and ill be selling the PI cams and springs, most likely in my NPI heads, just gotta figure out a price, if any of the NPI guys here are interested in them, im sellin them with the NPI heads so this way when the person buys them they can still throw their NPI cams and springs in the heads or just swap heads and make some money by sellin the others, or even have them ported while they can still drive their car while waitin to have the work done on the heads
April 14, 2004Hopefully those engine problems are behind you now, with the new heads you ordered you should be fine.
April 14, 2004yeah, thats what im hopin for
April 15, 2004Did you get a T chain with it? If not you might want to get one of those while you're in there.
Do not know too much about the new 4.6 but let us in the NJ chapter forum know before you do it and we'll see who we can get up there to lend a hand.
April 15, 2004I look at my engine and shake my head and say 'what is that?' I'm lost in space with the newer engines - to many moving parts for me. if you can get some one to video tape you taking everything apart. this way here you have a reference in case something doesnt go back together right
dad did a rebuild on a probe - worst nightmare Ive ever seen. two of the wire. harnesses got crossed and even with all of the wireing diagrams for the car they still cant find which two

April 15, 2004that or he's just not as used to being under the hood of his car as you are. I myself would buy a new one because your really not going to want to rip everything apart a second time to change it at the right mileage. and it doesnt really look like an easy change to me. -- but hey I'm just a girl
