May 29, 2004I'm stuck with a 3.8L eaton supercharger to put in on my v6 mustang. Now I've heard I would probably need to replace alot of things to get it to run as good as a v8. Should I just sell it and go look for a 302 and new transmission or install the supercharger?
May 30, 2004what do you mean "run" as good as a v8. Do you mean like to put out as much power as an 8? If thats what you mean, then yeah you will have to do alot of work to your 6 to be as quick as a stock 8. Also, you will never achieve the torque that will be possible with an 8. I wouldnt say that you necessarily have to ditch the 6 for an 8, but it depends on how fast you wanna be etc. If you just wanna be quick you can achieve that with your car. With the supercharger you will probably beat stock 96-98 gt's. With a lil more work you will be putting down decent numbers, just depends on how much money you wanna put into your car.

May 30, 2004An Eaton for a six?
Can't say I've heard of that...if it fits I'd try to bolt it on and get it working...if you weren't happy after all that maybe you could dump the six with SC for the 8 cyl...
