November 5, 200594-98 SLOW leaks from HELL.............
Easily spanked by rice..............
A GT is common as coffee, just drive it like you stole it.
Imports rule Stangs drool.........................................
November 5, 2005Uhhh, I think Cav has lost it.
Have you forgotten to take your meds again??

Your car is considered a GT (they had no other model for V8's in '96-'9. It's just a very oddly optioned one.
Now go drive it and enjoy it and stop worrying about what exactly it is.
November 5, 2005My 89 LX puts more HP to the wheels then my 97 GT, thats sad............
The 97 GT gets spanked daily, time for a cammed 4.6 PI engine !
Like I said, I like what we have and will never sell them.
Somthing about that doberman interior I like..............(black and tan)
November 5, 2005Either way as long as no one is driving a riced out civic and it's all about the mustang 4.6 5.0 3.8 doesn't really matter all that much most of us here could put down more power to the ground out of the motors that came in our mustangs vs. those ricers except we just haven't won the lotto yet.
November 5, 2005Ricers' advantage is light weight.
November 5, 2005Yah, sure buy a FWD foreign import and join the other side...traitor!
November 6, 2005so just because mine is a 96-98 it is slow?
if you read my mod list i have a 2001 engine and then some. i spank my buddys z06 on a daily basis. so maybe you should read into it before you insult someones car
November 6, 2005warning to the newby attacking Cav is a bad idea you will not win.....so give up lol.....Just face the facts all GTs are slow.....slow or not we still love our cars....hes not trying to attack you hes just stating facts and plus he has a car of your year model, I believe, so obviously he has no problem with it........
November 6, 2005Slow is a relative term anyway.
My solution has always been to just modify the car when I get so used to the power level that it feels 'slow'. The only goal is to make it a little faster, so that it's 'fun' (all subjective terms, mind you).
Fun can also be had by making the car handle better. Just ask Courtney's husband JM!
