March 4, 2008It all comes down to personal preference. If i were to recommend a true power source i would have to go with a turbocharger. they far exceed the others in torque and horsepower and they cause less wear and tear on your engine. If engine life and performance are important this should be your choice. As far as turbo lag that is so understated these days. Forget it most turbos spool up just fine, besides if your tuner knows what he is doing you will have more power than you know what to do with. I have personally built the first 3 valve engine in this country, receiving the very first set of diamond pistons made for these cars. I know them well and i know what makes power.
March 4, 2008Question about the Diamond pistons - do they move the ring package down to allow for extra heat? What alloy? Coated?
I agree with you on Turbos... but in many states, there's just no way to run one legally (California, for example), but there are many CARB certified supercharger setups. Do you know of any smog legal turbo setups?
