September 17, 2006Before I add any forced induction I want to weld in a set of Sub Frame connectors and a set of LCAs. My first intent is to stop any twisting of the frame that could be happening now and for future HP upgrades. I have owned three fox bodies, all within the 3-500HP range and I just dont want to repeat mistakes that I have made in the past. I have seen many people just add gobs and gobs of horsepower and then wonder why their doors dont shut right anymore or their windshield keeps cracking. I also want the LCA's (and possibly uppers) because even with the minor bolt on's that I have now, I can be at idle (rolling idle) and mash the go fast button on the floor and I start to ignite the tires through second gear. I am running 275/35's Michelin Pilots in the rear and have a set of NIB Sumitomo 275/40's ready to install, but I know the LCA's will help plant the back end better.
So, after that 16 page dissertation, what are you post 1995 Cobra owners running for Subframes AND control arms?
