I have a pair of Borla's with Dynomax s/s tailpipes and I'm thinking about getting a pair of 3.5" SS tips. When I had the guy install the Borla's, (a while back) I asked him about putting on tips and he made a comment about my tailpipes being stainless steel and if I was sure I wanted to do that. He made me think twice about it so I decided not to do it. I guess he made me think it was a bad idea. Is it really a problem to add tips to stainless pipes? Even if the tips are stainless too? I'm guessing not.My other question is sound. For anyone that has done this (2.5 inlet to 3.5 outlet) will it sound different if not better? I know there are kits (like Magnaflow) that already have this type of set up but I'm wondering if it would be worth it? I think cosmetically, it will look better. Plus, I'm thinking about tips with the rolled edge.
Thanks,
Mike
