February 14, 2008I put some gumout cleaner in the gas about 5k miles ago. But it ran fine then up until now. Other than that no cleaners have gone into it since I have owned it.
One of the shops here in town that does alot of Mustang tunning said to replace the front O2 sensors also.
I checked for a pinch gas line and line looks good and no dents or kinks.
When I reset the computer or take the code out with a scan tool it takes about 5 miles give or take for the code to come back. Sometimes quicker.
HP Performance...another shop here in town said they could set it up on their dyno, sell me an SCT tuner, and put three custom tunes on it for $650.00. They said while they were tunning it they could either correct or figure out why it's throwing these codes but wouldn't know until they get into it. Not sure I want to go that route as that seems pricy and not sure if that would fix or find the problem.
I have checked for vacuum leaks and can find any. Everything else seems to run good. I don't have a MAF I can swap to see if mine is acting up. I have cleaned it with MAF Sensor cleaner and it looks clean...but that also doesn't mean that its not acting up.
I scratch head and that Service Engine light is driving me nuts!!!
