March 14, 2008Hey all,
I have an original Saleen body kit and spoiler in my garage for the past 4 years. I just don't have the funds to have it painted and installed on my 93 LX. Do you think it will hold out for much longer? I'm not a body shop guy but it looks fine despite all the dust build up. In my other apartment I had it in the original box but I took the kit out and dumped the boxes because I thought I was ready to get it installed. Now I have the entire kit suspended by a soft rope in my garage so it's not even touching the ground. I don't really have any space to lay it out on the ground but if that's the best way, I'll just make room and leave the Mustang outside. Any knowledge on how to care of unused body kits is totally appreciated. I just want to make sure I'm doing the right thing and not messing up the kit. If I don't install it I'm just going to sell the whole thing. I don't think Saleen is even selling this particular year body kit anymore.
Anyway, please chime in if you know how to properly store body kits.
