December 3, 2008My brother drove my cobra from San Antonio to El Paso, TX. Just before he got there the car started making a ticking sound and the coolant was all over the engine bay. he got it home and found out a hose broke. The one that goes from the Degas bottle to the Thermostat housing. He changed the hose and drove it down the street and it was spitting and sputtering, with the gauge going right to hot. Does anyone have any Ideas that we can start with?
The car has an almost 2 year old radiator, thermostat, and both the temp sensors.
I know these cars had that head problem but I am pretty sure mine did not have this problem. The car has 117,000 on it and the motor has about 50,000 *or* 60,000. the car has just been driven back and forth to work ever since the rad change. The longest rip since that was from houston to san antonio about 4 hours. All info will be greatly appreciated, at least I can start somewhere. Thanks for the help.
