February 28, 2009If the CTS is bad, it will send the wrong reading to the ecu and the car will not go into open-loop for the warm-up cycle... it will run closed-loop and keep stalling because the ecu expects the engine to behave as if it''''s been warmed up.
It''s a cheap sensor... worth a shot. Also... if the sensor reads directly to the aftermarket gauge and does not tie into the ecu harness, the ecu obviously receives no signal from it and that could cause issues, as well.

As for the tube on the TB, block it off.
